SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth Barham of Moline, who passed away on June 4, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Barham was born in Metropolis to James and Janie (Sullivan) Barham on December 22, 1925; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Jacqueline Marie Rice on November 16, 1947; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Barham was co-owner of the LeClaire Friendly Service station in Moline; he was also a financial planner with Prime America and authored two books; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Barham was a member of the Elks Club and the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Moline; he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs; he owned stock cars and enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, working in his yard, traveling to Arizona, and time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Barham was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Barham is survived by his children, Dan Barham, Chuck (Jackie) Barham, and Sandy (Robert Steven) Rumph; his grandchildren, Ann (Chris) Peterson, Tim (Nicole) Barham, Katie Barham, Shelley Rumph, and Kevin Rumph; his great-grandchildren, Coral, Camry, Zach, and Elizabeth; and his sister, Betty June Barham; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth Barham and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Barham as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
