SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Clayton Gaudry of Crown Point, Indiana, formerly of Bourbonnais, who passed away on May 11, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Gaudry was a junior at Crown Point High School and an honors student with a 4.2 GPA; he planned to attend Indiana University Bloomington to major in finance and had already completed college courses over the past three years; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Gaudry was proud of the computer he built by himself; he enjoyed working on his car, riding his dirt bike and motorcycle, fishing, and hunting; he loved hockey and had played for a team at the Midwest Training and Ice Center; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Gaudry was selfless; he loved helping others and adored his family and friends; his family hopes his death will raise awareness about the importance of slowing down and watching for motorcycles; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Gaudry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Becky Rocha; and

WHEREAS, Clayton Gaudry is survived by his parents, Tony and Jessica Gaudry; his brother, Ethan Gaudry; his sister, Lauryn Gaudry; his grandparents, Randy and Sherry Regnier, Julie and Scott Hill, and Scott MacDonald; his aunts and uncles, Elisha and Bryan Jurewicz, Ken Gaudry, Dale MacDonald, Brendan Uhlir, and Jacob Regnier; and his many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Clayton Gaudry and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Clayton Gaudry.
