SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley Raymond "Stan" Heed of Colona, who passed away on April 5, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Stan Heed was born in Benson County, North Dakota to John A. and Anna Tysk Heed on June 1, 1924; he served as an Aircraft Dispatcher in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946; he married Minita Marie Pfeiffer in Lawton, Oklahoma on December 31, 1946; and

WHEREAS, Stan Heed worked as a Purchasing Agent for Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company in Oakbrook for 38 years; and

WHEREAS, Stan Heed was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, where he was active in many church activities; he enjoyed bowling; and

WHEREAS, Stan Heed was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Minita; his sisters, Helen, Marie, Lillian, Alma, and Esther; and his brother, Arthur; and

WHEREAS, Stan Heed is survived by his daughter, Carol (Mike) Keller; his son, Paul (Lynn) Heed; his grandson, Ian; AFS Exchange student, Claudia Dalla-Verde; and his sister, Florence Flodin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Stanley Raymond "Stan" Heed and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stan Heed as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
