SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Martin Theodore Krakovec of Rock Island, who passed away on March 27, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Martin Krakovec was born in Bessemer, Michigan to Martin and Katherine Lemonick Krakovec on December 1, 1935; he served in the United States Marine Corps for three years; he married Corrine Tomczyk on October 3, 1959; and

WHEREAS, Martin Krakovec worked for the Container Corporation of America (later MacMillan Bloedel); he retired in 1998 after 41 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Martin Krakovec is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Corrine; his son, Tim (Diana) Krakovec; his daughter, Laura Krakovec; and his grandchildren, Dr. Kristin Krakovec and Nicholas Krakovec; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Martin Theodore Krakovec and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Martin Krakovec as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
