SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William "Frank" Bragg of Atwood, who
4passed away on May 29, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg was born in Decatur to William M. and
6Marie Wharton Bragg on January 29, 1930; he married Betty A.
7Dukeman at Lake Fork Church in Atwood on August 8, 1948; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg farmed all of his life, retiring in
91995; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg was a member of the United Church of
11Atwood, where he served as chairman of the building committee
12during the construction of the new church; he loved antique
13tractors, especially Oliver tractors, and was a member of the I &
14 I Tractor Club for many years; he was also a longtime member
15of the Douglas County Farm Bureau; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg was an experienced private pilot; he
17was a member of the Flying Farmers of America; he flew several
18times throughout the U.S. and also toured Mexico with his wife
19in his private plane; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg was preceded in death by his parents;

2    WHEREAS, Frank Bragg is survived by his wife, Betty; his
3sons, Mark (Tammy Lentz) Bragg and Michael (Debra) Bragg; his
4grandchildren, Jonathan (Nikki) Bragg, Erin "Maggie" (Kosta)
5Demopoulos, and Matthew (Molly) Bragg; his
6great-grandchildren, Tegan Bragg, Braxton Bragg, Nikolas
7Demopoulos, Astraia Demopoulos, Ioanna Demopoulos, and Levin
8Demopoulos; his sister, Marilyn Roze; his nephews, Scott
9(Marie) Roze, Todd Roze, Russell (Sheri) Dukeman, and Joe
10(Karen) Dukeman; and his niece, Cheryl (John) Franks;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14William "Frank" Bragg and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Frank Bragg as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
