SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Shirley M. Rentner, who passed away on September 2, 2020 at the age of 88; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Rentner was born to the late George and Bessie Hackl in Oak Park on August 3, 1932; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Rentner married Robert R. Rentner in 1952 and was a resident of Oak Park for more than 65 years; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Rentner loved cooking, sewing, and spending time with her husband and family; and

WHEREAS, Shirley Rentner is survived by her husband of 68 years; her children, Bob (Terry), Sue, and Tom (Chris) Rentner and Cathy (Phil) Barry; her grandchildren, Shawn, Christopher, Heather, Colleen, Alexandra, and Ellen; her great-grandchildren, Emma, Eli, and Katelyn; her sister, Lois (Bernie) Wierenga; and her brother, Leslie (Marge) Hackl; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Shirley M. Rentner and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Shirley Rentner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
