SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William Geyer of Moline, who passed away
4on May 21, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Geyer was born in Detroit, Michigan to
6Paul and Loween (Conklin) Geyer on September 25, 1944; he
7graduated from Moline High School in 1962; he served in the
8U.S. Army as an E5, Orthopedic Specialist at Ft. Hood Army
9Hospital in Killeen, Texas; he graduated from Murray State
10University in 1970; he married Margo Johnson on June 20, 1973;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, William Geyer began working at John Deere
13Harvester Works in 1966, and he remained an active employee
14until his death; and
 
15    WHEREAS, In his free time, William Geyer took an active
16role in his family's sporting and academic events; he enjoyed
17watching sports, working on at-home projects, and helping
18others; and
 
19    WHEREAS, William Geyer was preceded in death by his wife;
20his parents; and his nephew, Greg Geyer; and

1    WHEREAS, William Geyer is survived by his children, Thomas
2Geyer, James Geyer, Deborah (Shae) Drobushevich, and Michelle
3Geyer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Drobushevich, Nicholas
4Drobushevich, Shae Drobushevich, Marissa Summers, Camryn
5Summers, Taylor Summers, and Aeva Geyer; his brothers, Charles
6(Sharon) Geyer and family, Paul (Natalie) Geyer and family; and
7his sister-in-law, Marcia (Merle) Gerber and family;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11William Geyer and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
12friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of William Geyer as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
