SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Madeline M. Springer of Hillsboro, who passed away on January 5, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Springer was born in Nokomis to James and Maddalena (Davito) Parola on February 18, 1917; she graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1935 and married Carl H. Springer in 1946; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Springer served as a retail sales clerk at Sears for over 40 years; she was also an Avon representative; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Springer was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro; she was devoted to her church, her family, and the Chicago Cubs; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Springer was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents; and her brother, Frank Parola; and

WHEREAS, Madeline Springer is survived by her sons, Greg (Junice) and Denny (Donna) Springer; her grandchildren, Gabe Springer, Jake (Jessi) Springer, Geoff (Nancy) Springer, Allison (Nick) Schey, and Job (Lali) Springer; her great-grandchildren, Brockton, Bryce, Dominic, Sophia, Matilda, and Bruno Springer and Maddalena Schey; and her sister, Emma Vlasich; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Madeline M. Springer and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Madeline Springer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
