SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

40 ILCS 5/17-106.1

Amends the Chicago Teacher Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that administrator means a member who (i) is employed in a position that requires him or her to hold a professional educator license with an administrative endorsement issued by the State Board of Education (instead of a Type 75 Certificate issued by the State Teacher Certification Board), (ii) is not on the Chicago teachers' or the Chicago charter school teachers' salary schedule, or (iii) is paid on an administrative payroll.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing Section 17-106.1 as follows:

Sec. 17-106.1. Administrator. Administrator means a member who (i) is employed in a position that requires him or her to hold a professional educator license with an administrative endorsement Type 75 Certificate issued by the State Board of Education State Teacher Certification Board, (ii) is not on the Chicago teachers' or the Chicago charter school teachers' salary schedule, or (iii) is paid on an administrative payroll.
