HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Ron Mosier on the occasion of his retirement as the Maintenance Superintendent at Mt. Vernon Outland Airport in February 2020; and

WHEREAS, Ron Mosier is a father of three and resides in Mt. Vernon with his wife Sheila and his son Alex; and

WHEREAS, In his professional role, Ron Mosier has contributed model service; he has been in charge of maintaining over 1,100 acres, 20 structures, and miles of concrete and asphalt for nearly half a century; and

WHEREAS, In addition to maintaining the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport within the bounds of the typical five-day work week, Ron Mosier has diligently performed custodial duties and has conducted both daily and nightly airfield inspections; and

WHEREAS, Ron Mosier has been referred to by his peers as an "irreplaceable team member"; and

WHEREAS, Recently, Ron Mosier has conducted his professional duties while battling cancer; he has battled through the discomfort of substantial treatment in order to ensure that the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport is safe, secure, and attractive; and

WHEREAS, Ron Mosier's community is grateful for his commitment to and passion for the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport; he has displayed dedicated service and exemplary leadership for the citizens of Jefferson County; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Ron Mosier on his retirement after 40 years of service to the Mt. Vernon Outland Airport, and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Ron Mosier as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
