HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, On September 21, 1979, Dick Levi, Roger Ray, and Bob Shoup opened their business, Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) in Springfield, as a local computer consulting company with the goal of providing the best solutions for its customers; and

WHEREAS, Forty years later, their roots have remained in Springfield, and LRS has become a global provider of information technology solutions throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia; and

WHEREAS, LRS's commitment to customer service and to providing the best solution for the best value has been the company's foundation since day one, and they have never strayed from that vision; and

WHEREAS, LRS's services and divisions have expanded to include Enterprise Output Management, Consulting Services, Retirement Solutions, Web Solutions, IT Solutions, Education Services, Capella Technologies, Diversified Yacht Services, and Central Illinois Security, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, The heart of LRS is composed of more than 900 people, which gives the company its competitive advantage; these team members are the ones who allow LRS to continue to grow and evolve; and

WHEREAS, LRS has been a quiet, yet strong, supporter of the community; Springfield is the city it is today because of the families and businesses, like LRS, who have made Springfield their home; and

WHEREAS, LRS has stayed true to the statement made by President Abraham Lincoln, "Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way"; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. on the occasion of its 40th anniversary and wish the company many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to LRS as an expression of our esteem and respect.
