HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Talicia Levy on receiving the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn; and

WHEREAS, For her gold project, Talicia Levy created a reading area for Mrs. Miller's fourth grade class at Oak View Elementary School; she made three bookcases that needed to fit perfectly under the classroom's smart board and painted them blue and yellow; she also made two cubed ottoman seats with inside storage for additional classroom storage; and

WHEREAS, The reading area Talicia Levy created will help children enjoy reading for many years to come; and

WHEREAS, The Girl Scout Gold Award acknowledges the power behind each recipient's dedication to not only empowering and bettering herself but also to making the world a better place for others; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Talicia Levy on receiving the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn, and wish her success in her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Talicia Levy as an expression of our esteem and respect.
