HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell Lady Wolverines volleyball team on winning the Seventh Grade Class 1A State Tournament on March 9, 2019 and bringing the school its first-ever state championship in volleyball; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Wolverines defeated the Limestone Walters in the championship match in two sets with scores of 25-12 and 25-9; and

WHEREAS, This victory in the State Championship was a perfect endnote to the Lady Wolverines's undefeated season; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Wolverines are Jane Turner, Becca Heitzig, Kloe Froebe, Sydney Ramlow, Kendal Long, Anastin Simonson, Regan Goodney, Jenna Bowman, Piper Whiteman, Tori Geriets, Rebecca Burge, Alyssa Bishop, Ally Battin, and Alison Turner; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Wolverines are coached by Head Coach Kim Heitzig and Assistant Coaches Ashley Paulus, Emma Derry, and Kaylyn Hoffert; the team's managers are Malina Luckhart, Mia Clark, and Lily Holmes; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Wolverines's victory shows the hard work and determination of all members, coaches, and managers of the 7th grade volleyball team; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the West Lincoln-Broadwell 7th grade volleyball team on their Class 1A State Tournament win, and we wish them many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to each member of the Lady Wolverines 7th grade volleyball team and to each member of their coaching staff as an expression of our esteem and respect.
