HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce on being named the 2018 Outstanding Chamber of the Year by the Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (IACCE); and

WHEREAS, The IACCE Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award highlights accomplishments in the areas of leadership, governance, finance, advocacy, and membership development; and

WHEREAS, The Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce was chosen out of 135 chambers and was recognized for its creative ribbon cuttings, well-attended and informative luncheons, and an active and engaging presence on social media; and

WHEREAS, This prestigious recognition affirms the good work being done by the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce to further business development and community involvement throughout Jefferson County; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce on receiving the 2018 Outstanding Chamber of the Year Award from the Illinois Association of Commerce Executives, and we applaud their extensive efforts to improve the community and to be an active voice for their 466 member businesses; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Philip Beard, Executive Director of the Greater Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, as an expression of our esteem and respect.
