HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Joseph "Joe" Donnelly on the occasion of his retirement from the Rosemont School Board after 33 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly was appointed to the Rosemont School Board in 1986; he served as a member for three years and as Board President for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly has overseen building improvements that have maintained a standard of excellence for the betterment of the curriculum; his goal has always been for every student to receive the highest quality of education; and

WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly has always had the best interests of the community at heart and excelled at balancing those best interests with the resources available through the district; and

WHEREAS, Joe Donnelly moved to Rosemont with his family in 1984; he volunteered, worked, and raised his family in Rosemont; during his 33 years of service on the Rosemont School Board, he had an impact on the lives of over 6,000 students, four administrators, and a staff of 50 or more each year; working with his fellow School Board members, he made a difference every single day for the children who attended the Rosemont School; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Joseph "Joe" Donnelly on the occasion of his retirement from the Rosemont School Board after 33 years of service, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Joe Donnelly as an expression of our esteem and respect.
