| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2503, on page 6, |
| 3 | | by replacing lines 2 through 12 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(o) "Roofing work" or "professional roofing services" |
| 5 | | means the construction, reconstruction, alteration, |
| 6 | | maintenance, and repair of a roof on residential, commercial, |
| 7 | | or industrial property and the use of materials and items in |
| 8 | | the construction, reconstruction, alteration, maintenance, and |
| 9 | | repair of roofing and waterproofing of roofs, all in a manner |
| 10 | | that complies with plans, specifications, codes, laws, rules, |
| 11 | | regulations, and current roofing industry standards for |
| 12 | | workmanlike performance applicable to the construction, |
| 13 | | reconstruction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of roofs |
| 14 | | on such properties."; and

| 15 | | on page 18, line 19, by replacing "bonafide" with "bona fide"; |

| 3 | | "(e) In awarding a contract for professional roofing |
| 4 | | services, if the property owner is the State or any |
| 5 | | municipality, county, incorporated area, or school district, |
| 6 | | the property owner or responsible public entity shall conduct |
| 7 | | a bona fide procurement process in accordance with applicable |
| 8 | | law in which the awarded vendor or a subcontractor holds the |
| 9 | | applicable verified active licenses and a qualifying party |
| 10 | | credential issued by the Department.". |
