| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3399, AS AMENDED, | ||||||
| 3 | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. | ||||||
| 4 | 1, on page 9, line 20, by replacing "25" with "15"; and | ||||||
| 5 | on page 13, by replacing line 9 through line 15 with "may use | ||||||
| 6 | any existing program administrator and any applicable | ||||||
| 7 | subcontractors to develop, administer, implement, operate, and | ||||||
| 8 | evaluate the Program."; and | ||||||
| 9 | on page 16, immediately below line 9, by inserting the | ||||||
| 10 | following: | ||||||
| 11 | "Section 75. Cost recovery of generating units. In order | ||||||
| 12 | to promote the competitive development of geothermal heating | ||||||
| 13 | and cooling systems in furtherance of this State's interest in | ||||||
| 14 | the health, safety, and welfare of its residents, renewable | ||||||
| 15 | energy credits from geothermal heating and cooling systems | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | shall not be eligible for purchase under this Act if the | ||||||
| 2 | credits are sourced from a geothermal heating and cooling | ||||||
| 3 | system for which costs are being recovered on or after the | ||||||
| 4 | effective date of this Act through rates regulated by this | ||||||
| 5 | State or any other state.". | ||||||
