Synopsis As Introduced Amends the School Code. With regard to the prerequisites to receiving a high school diploma, provides that each pupil entering the 9th grade in the 2020-2021 school year or a subsequent school year must, in addition to other course requirements, successfully complete one year of workplace preparation studies that cover legal protections in the workplace, including protection against sexual harassment and racial and other forms of discrimination and other protections for employees.
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the School Code. Provides that a school district that maintains any of grades 9 through 12 may include in its high school curriculum a unit of instruction on workplace preparation that covers legal protections in the workplace, including protection against sexual harassment and racial and other forms of discrimination and other protections for employees.
