    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 
represented in the General Assembly:
 
    Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by adding 
Section 56.3 as follows:
 
    (5 ILCS 460/56.3 new)
    Sec. 56.3. Official State mushroom. The mushroom calvatia 
gigantea, commonly known as the "giant puffball", is 
designated the official State mushroom of the State of 
Illinois.
 
    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
