Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Provides that in the event of the foreclosure of residential real estate, a mortgagee is prohibited from obtaining a personal judgment against the mortgagor for a deficiency.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Amends provisions prohibiting a mortgagee from obtaining a personal judgment against the mortgagor for a deficiency in a foreclosure of residential real estate by limiting the prohibition to residential real estate that is the mortgagor's primary residence.
