Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Community Senior Services and Resources Act. Authorizes the Director of Aging to accept monetary bequests and gifts for deposit into the Community Senior Services and Resources Fund. Directs the Department on Aging, in conjunction with the Community Senior Services and Resource Center Advisory Committee, to design an awareness campaign that can be implemented by senior services and resource centers at their individual expense. Effective immediately.

Adds reference to:
30 ILCS 105/8h

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Finance Act and the Community Senior Services and Resources Act with provisions substantially similar to those of Senate Bill 2530, but with changes that include the following: (1) provides that the Director of Aging may accept monetary gifts for the benefit of a specified center or distinct area of the State; and (2) provides that provisions of the State Finance Act concerning transfers to the General Revenue Fund do not apply to any fund established under the Community Senior Services and Resources Act. Effective immediately.
