Synopsis As Introduced
Creates a Task Force to study special education funding. Directs the task force to report its findings and recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly by January 1, 2008. Provides that the task force shall be facilitated by the State Board of Education.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Changes the date by which the task force must report its findings and recommendations from January 1, 2008 to August 1, 2008.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that the public members appointed by legislative leaders shall not just represent school districts, but also non-public special education facilities.
