Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Employee Blood Donation Leave Act. Changes the name of the Act to the Employee Blood and Organ Donation Leave Act. Provides that an employee may use up to 10 days of leave in any 12-month period to serve as an organ donor or bone marrow donor. Defines terms. Makes corresponding changes.
House Committee Amendment No. 1 Reinserts a provision that the definition of "employer" includes employers with 51 or more employees.
House Floor Amendment No. 2 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following changes: Provides that an employee may use up to 5 days of leave (rather than 10 days of leave) in any 12-month period to serve as a bone marrow donor. Reinserts a provision that the definition of "employer" includes employers with 51 or more employees.
Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the engrossed bill with the following changes: Removes provisions concerning the donation of bone marrow.
