Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
235 ILCS 5/1-1
Adds reference to:
235 ILCS 5/6-11

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that nothing shall prohibit the issuance or renewal of a license authorizing the sale of alcoholic liquor at a premises that is located within a municipality with a population in excess of 1,000,000 and within 100 feet of a City of Chicago School District 299 school if other specified criteria are met. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Further amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. In one of the exceptions to provisions concerning the sale of liquor near a church, provides that the storefront directly west of the church (instead of restaurant) is being used as a restaurant and changes the distance from the northern-most property line of the premises to the southern-most property line of the church to 65 feet (instead of 78 feet).
