Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Highway Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill as amended by Senate Amendment No. 1 with the following changes. Removes the provision providing that a violation of the Section shall render any related contract void as a matter of law and removes the requirement of the Department of Transportation to rebid all affected projects. Provides that a violation of the Section shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $10,000 or by imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both.
