Synopsis As Introduced
Urges the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, the Illinois Department of Transportation, Metra, the Chicago Transit Authority and the Chicago Department of Aviation to include Crossrail Chicago in its list of fiscally unconstrained projects as consistent with the GOTO2040 vision, making the projects of Crossrail Chicago eligible for federal funds.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the heading with similar language. Adds language concerning Crossrail Chicago's ability to connect O'Hare Airport with downstate Amtrak service, the North Central District line, McCormick Place, and Metra service lines. Adds language concerning tracks at Union Station that could be used for Metra or Amtrak service. Removes a reference to the eligibility of federal funding for projects of Crossrail Chicago.
