Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Illinois Pension Code, the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, and the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Eliminates compensation, as well as pension and group insurance benefits, for individuals who first become members of the Regional Transportation Authority Board, Suburban Bus Board, Commuter Rail Board, or Chicago Transit Authority Board on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act. Effective immediately.

 HB 140 would have no fiscal impact on the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971 and the Illinois Pension Code. Specifies that those Acts do not apply to members of specified regional transit boards who first become members of those boards on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act with respect to service on those boards. Effective immediately.
