Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Probate Act of 1975. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning guardians.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 3
Deletes reference to:
755 ILCS 5/11-3
Adds reference to:
755 ILCS 5/13-5from Ch. 110 1/2, par. 13-5

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Probate Act of 1975 in relation to the powers and duties of public guardians. Provides that a public guardian does not have to maintain insurance coverage on a ward's real and personal property if a court determines that the property lacks sufficient equity, the estate lacks sufficient funds to pay for insurance, or the property is otherwise uninsurable.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Requires the court to issue an order finding one of the listed factors. Adds an immediate effective date.
