Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Provides that the brief explanatory statement or note prepared for certain bills shall be prepared at the request of a member while on second reading in the house of introduction (instead of prior to second reading in the house of introduction). Provides that the Department of Human Services shall (instead of may) seek assistance from other State agencies. Changes a reference of statewide trade associations to statewide trade associations and organizations. Provides that whenever an amendment to a bill brings that bill within the description of bills covered by the Act, a majority may propose that no action shall be taken (instead of no action shall be taken) upon the amendment until the sponsor of the amendment presents to the members a certain statement or note.
