Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Lottery Law. Provides that the "Ticket For The Cure" scratch-off game shall be discontinued on December 31, 2016 (instead of December 31, 2011). Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Ticket For The Cure Board shall be discontinued on June 30, 2017 (instead of June 30, 2012). Effective immediately.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes everything after the enacting clause and reinserts the bill as introduced, with the following changes: further amends the Illinois Lottery Law; changes the title of the scratch-game from the "Ticket For The Cure" to "Carolyn Adams Ticket For The Cure"; provides that in awarding grants, the Department of Public Health shall consider criteria that includes, but is not limited to, projects and initiatives that address disparities in incidence and mortality rates of breast cancer, based on data from the Illinois Cancer Registry, and populations facing barriers to care; makes other changes; also makes technical changes; amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois; makes changes to provisions concerning the Carolyn Adams Ticket For The Cure Board; provides that the Department of Public Health shall submit a report to the Governor and the General Assembly by December 31 of each year that provide a summary of the Carolyn Adams Ticket for the Cure lottery ticket sales, grants awarded, and the accomplishments of the grantees. Effective immediately.
