Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the tax exemption for property used for religious purposes.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
35 ILCS 200/15-40
Adds reference to:
35 ILCS 200/21-27

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that the county board, upon the recommendation of the county treasurer, may waive an interest penalty for the delinquent payment of taxes on brownfield property in any year (instead of "any year prior to the 2008 taxable year"). Effective immediately.
