Synopsis As Introduced Amends the State Finance Act, if and only if the provisions of Senate Bill 3539 of the 96th General Assembly become law. Repeals a provision creating the Death Penalty Abolition Fund. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961, if and only if the provisions of Senate Bill 3539 of the 96th General Assembly become law. Limits the number of aggravating factors in which the death penalty may be imposed for first degree murder. Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963, if and only if the provisions of Senate Bill 3539 of the 96th General Assembly become law. Repeals provision abolishing the death penalty.
