Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Emergency Telephone System Act. Provides that a fire protection district may, by intergovernmental agreement, enter into a contract with any county in which the fire protection district is partially located for the county to receive and manage all 9-1-1 emergency calls made within the fire protection district upon terms agreeable to the fire protection district and the county. Provides that the board members of the fire protection district must approve the intergovernmental agreement by a majority vote of the members then holding office. Provides that the county board of the county must approve the intergovernmental agreement by a majority vote of the members then holding office.
