Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Makes a technical change in a Section defining "Associate Procurement Officers".

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:

Adds reference to:
30 ILCS 500/30-22
30 ILCS 500/40-15

Deletes everything. Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. With respect to provisions setting forth requirements for responsible bidders on State construction contracts, provides that the bidder and all bidder's subcontractors must show proof that all workers who are to perform work on the project: have received training in procedures to be followed in the event of a State or national emergency; have successfully undergone drug screening and are subject to random drug screening; and have been involved in an ongoing training program in new construction techniques and procedures. With respect to the State's procurement of real property leases, exempts from the request for information selection process, under certain circumstances, the renewal or extension of leases in existence before July 1, 2002 (now, July 1, 1999).
