Synopsis As Introduced
Recognizes the Susan G. Komen Foundation for its efforts to eradicate breast cancer and urges (1) citizen participation in the Penny Severns Breast and Cervical Cancer Research Fund Income Tax check-off; (2) women age 40 and older to have mammogram screenings every 1-2 years; (3) additional appropriations from the tobacco Master Settlement Agreement for breast cancer awareness and prevention; (4) additional funding by Congress for breast and cervical cancer early detection; (5) maximization of State matching dollars for breast and cervical cancer early detection; and (6) designation of one day at the State Fair as a day of recognition for Breast Cancer Awareness.
