Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title of the Code.

Deletes reference to:
405 ILCS 5/1-100
Adds reference to:
30 ILCS 785/5
30 ILCS 785/10

Deletes everything. Amends the Inclusion of Women and Minorities in Clinical Research Act. Defines "minority group" as a group that is a readily identifiable subset of the U.S. population that is distinguished by either racial, ethnic, or cultural heritage and identifies certain racial and ethnic categories as included within that definition (now, defined as in the 2000 National Institutes of Health guidelines). Requires a grantee, in conducting or supporting a project of clinical research, to comply with the National Institutes of Health Guidelines on the Inclusion of Women and Minorities as Subjects in Clinical Research.
