Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that a person who kills an emergency management worker in the course of performing his or her official duties or in retaliation for performing his or her official duties is eligible for the death penalty. Provides for various other enhanced penalties for assaulting or harming an emergency management worker. Creates the offense of obstructing an emergency management worker.
