Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Telecommunications Article of the Public Utilities Act. Provides that telecommunications carriers that provide directory assistance service shall provide that service to their legally blind customers at no charge. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Further amends the Public Utilities Act. Provides that the directory assistance at no charge for legally blind customers shall be limited to telephone numbers of customers located within the same calling area.
