Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that a check-off box for donations to the Blindness Prevention Fund be printed on the applications for vehicle registration, vehicle registration renewal, driver's licenses, and driving instruction permits. Provides that contributions to the Blindness Prevention Fund be used to provide blindness prevention education, screening, and treatment. Amends the State Finance Act to create the Blindness Prevention Fund.

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Finance Act, the Illinois Vehicle Code, and the Illinois Identification Card Act. Provides that an applicant for a driver's license or instruction permit, a commercial driver's license or instruction permit, or a State identification card shall be asked if he or she wants to donate $1 to the Blindness Prevention Fund, in addition to any other applicable fees. Creates the Blindness Prevention Fund.
