Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Extends, for one year after the effective date of this amendatory Act, the authority of the Grand Avenue Railroad Relocation Authority to use quick-take proceedings for the Grand Avenue Railroad Grade Separation Project within the village of Franklin Park, Illinois. In a provision granting quick-take eminent domain authority to the Southwestern Illinois Development Authority, changes the period of quick-take authority to May 22, 1998 through August 30, 2004 (instead of May 22, 1998 to August 30, 2002). Authorizes the Department of Transportation to exercise quick-take eminent domain powers to acquire certain property in Sangamon County for rights-of-way for the purpose of road construction. Effective immediately.
