Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Exempts school districts from municipal taxes on messages, telecommunications, natural gas, electricity, and water. Amends the Public Utilities Act to make a conforming change. Preempts home rule powers. Exempts from the reimbursement requirements of the State Mandates Act. Effective on July 1, 2003.
