Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Health Care Worker Background Check Act. Removes references to UCIA criminal history records checks and provides for fingerprint-based criminal history records checks as a condition of employment with a health care employer and active status on the Health Care Worker Registry. Makes changes in provisions concerning definitions, exceptions, persons ineligible to be hired by health care employers and long-term care facilities, a waiver, application fees, health care employer files, immunity from liability, and an offense. Repeals Sections concerning duplicate background checks and non-fingerprint based and fingerprint-based UCIA criminal records checks. Effective immediately.
