Synopsis As Introduced
Creates the Task Force on Eliminating Racial Bias in Suspensions and Expulsions to examine the causes of the racial gap in suspension and expulsion rates and submit a report to the General Assembly by April 15, 2010.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Adds 4 members to the Task Force on Eliminating Racial Bias in Suspensions and Expulsions. Provides that administrative support shall be provided by the Governor's office. Changes the date that the Task Force must file its report with the General Assembly from April 15, 2010 to May 1, 2010.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Changes language to provide that the members of the Task Force on Eliminating Racial Bias in Suspensions and Expulsions shall serve without compensation. Provides that the Task Force shall be dissolved upon filing its report with the General Assembly.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 3
Removes the resolved clause that provides that administrative support for the Task Force shall be provided by the Governor's office.
