Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Service Occupation Tax Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning taxes collected by a supplier.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
35 ILCS 115/8
Adds reference to:
35 ILCS 110/2from Ch. 120, par. 439.32
35 ILCS 115/2from Ch. 120, par. 439.102

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Service Use Tax Act and the Service Occupation Tax Act. Sets forth criteria for the treatment of veterinary practices as retailers or servicemen.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of Senate Amendment No. 1. In the Service Occupation Tax Act, provides that a serviceman is not required to register as a retailer under the Retailers' Occupation Tax Act if all sales are accommodation retail sales to service customers and those sales do not exceed 3% of the annual revenues from sales of service. Adds an immediate effective date.
