Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Act. Makes technical changes in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Deletes reference to:
20 ILCS 3960/1
Adds reference to:
410 ILCS 50/7 new

Replaces the title and everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Medical Patients Rights Act. Provides that any physician, medical student, resident, advanced practice nurse, registered nurse, or physician assistant who provides treatment or care to a patient shall inform the patient of his or her profession upon providing treatment or care, which includes but is not limited to any physical examination, such as a pelvic examination. Provides that, in the case of an unconscious patient, any care or treatment must be related to the patient's illness, condition, or disease. Effective July 1, 2004.
