Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Municipal Code. In a Section that prohibits an adult entertainment facility from being located within 1,000 feet of a school, day care center, cemetery, public park, forest preserve, public housing, and place of religious worship, provides that "adult entertainment facility" includes an adult bookstore or adult video store that derives 20% or more of its profits from the commercial sale, dissemination, or distribution of sexually explicit material, shows, or other exhibitions (instead of an adult bookstore or adult video store whose primary business is the commercial sale, dissemination, or distribution of sexually explicit material, shows, or other exhibitions).

House Committee Amendment No. 1

In a Section that prohibits an adult entertainment facility from being located within 1,000 feet of a school, day care center, cemetery, public park, forest preserve, public housing, and place of religious worship, provides that "adult entertainment facility" includes an adult bookstore or adult video store in which 25% or more of its stock-in-trade, books, magazines, and films for sale, exhibition, or viewing on-premises are sexually explicit material (instead of an adult bookstore or adult video store whose primary business is the commercial sale, dissemination, or distribution of sexually explicit material, shows, or other exhibitions).
