Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the Chicago school district.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
105 ILCS 5/34-2.3a
Adds reference to:
105 ILCS 5/29-5from Ch. 122, par. 29-5

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Transportation Article of the School Code. Provides that each school year, if a school district has made expenditures to the Regional Transportation Authority or any of its service boards, a mass transit district, or an urban transportation district under an intergovernmental agreement with the district to provide for the transportation of pupils and if the public transit carrier received direct payment for services or passes from a school district within its service area during the 2000-2001 school year, then, for State reimbursement purposes, the allowable direct cost of transporting pupils for regular, vocational, and special education pupil transportation shall also include the expenditures that the district has made to the public transit carrier. Effective immediately.
