Synopsis As Introduced Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. In provisions governing qualifications for the issuance of a school bus driver permit, provides that an applicant must not have lost his or her driving privileges within the last 3 years for a reason related to a violation of a traffic regulation governing the movement of vehicles (instead of for any reason).
House Floor Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. In provisions governing qualifications for the issuance of a school bus driver permit, adds a provision that if an applicant's driver's license has been suspended within the 3 years immediately prior to the date of application for the sole reason of failure to pay child support, that suspension shall not bar the applicant from receiving a school bus driver permit.
