Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that a business proposing to construct an electric generating facility need not include certain documentation in its application for financial assistance or file certain monthly reports if it provides a bond to the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs that is equal to the projected State occupation and use taxes during the 4 preceding calendar quarters. Effective immediately.

State Debt Impact Note (Economic and Fiscal Commission)
HB 2867 would not change the amount of authorization for any type of State-issued or State-supported bond, and, therefore, would not affect the level of State indebtedness.

Fiscal Note (Dept of Commerce and Community Affairs)
House Bill 2867 is estimated to have no fiscal impact on the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.
