Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Finance Act. Provides that all amounts in the petty cash fund at each Department of Revenue Facility may be retained on the premises of that facility (now, all amounts in any such fund of less than $1,000 but over $100 must be kept in a checking account in a bank or savings and loan association or trust company). Effective July 1, 2005.

 Fiscal Note (Department of Revenue)
The Department of Revenue has 5 cash drawers with $100 in them and 20 cash drawers with $75 in them. If the Department put the maximum amount in each of its cash drawers, it would incur a one-time cost of $23,000. However, at this time, the Department intends to increase the amounts in its cash drawers to no more than $200 per drawer, which would create a one-time cost of no more than $3,000.
